MORGAN'S RAID TOUR

Lyle Zerla, local expert in the history of the Morgan’s Raid through our area, will have a tour of the actual route the raid took through Jefferson County on July 27, 2013. The public is invited to attend.
The tour will start in Harrisville, Ohio at 9:00 AM and stay as close to the Morgan’s route as possible. Morgan covered 44 miles so this will be a 9AM to 5PM day. There will be a stop in Wintersville for lunch. The tour will end at Morgan’s surrender site in West Point near Lisbon, OH.
There is a $5.00 charge for the tour of which a percent of the money will go to the purchase of a monument for an unmarked grave in Dillonvale of one of Morgan’s men. The dedication of this monument is set for July 25, if the marker is available at that date. This year is the 150th anniversary of the tour and of this Raider’s death.

Please mail your reservations to Lyle Zerla, 101 Novak Drive, Dillonvale, OH 43917 or phone him at 740-769-2959.

Directions:
Harrisville is located between Cadiz and Bridgeport on US 250.
From Steubenville, take US 22 to the Cadiz exit then east on 250.
From Route 7, take the Rayland-Dillonvale Exit and go West on 150 through Dillonvale and Mt. Pleasant to US 250. Then go right to Harrisville.
