YELLOW CREEK CLASS REUNION(Submitted by John Seese) Reunion booklet from Yellow Creek School, dated September 1, 1904. The front of the program that wasn’t scanned reads as follows; REUNION. PUPILS and TEACHERS Yellow Creek School, Thursday September First Nineteen Hundred Four. “In Memory of Friendship.” On the right inside cover there is a parting song. At length the parting hour is come; How soon the day is past. To this dear place we bid adieu, Where happy days have pass’d. (Chorus) Farewell dear schoolmates, friends to you. We say farewell the last. To this dear place we bid adieu, Where happy days have pass’d. But as the closing hour draws near, The tho’t that we must part. With teachers, schoolmates, friends most dear, Makes many a sorrowing heart. (Chorus- Farewell) We’ll cherish long, O, teachers kind, Your efforts to impart, True knowledge that shall fill each mind, And bless with joy each heart. And when life’s lessons all are o’er, Oh, may we meet to dwell, Around the Father’s throne, no more In Heav’n to say “farewell.” (Chorus for last verse) No more to say “farewell,” dear friends No more to say “farewell,” Around the Father’s throne, no more, In Heaven to say “farewell.”
