Smithfield School Abt. 1914-1915Smithfield Township, school pics. Donated by Becky Morris, November 2011. Thomas DUNLAP is identified in the titles, it was in his family's collection that I found these pictures. I believe one of the other children is named Elwood RUSH. His name is written on the back of both photos, along with "Smithfield, Ohio". When I researched his name I found him to be a neighbor of the DUNLAP family and of about the same age as Thomas The years are estimated by approximate age of Thomas DUNLAP in photos. The grades in the title refer to the approximate grade that Thomas would have been in. I noticed in the second photo that even though many of the children are dressed in sweaters or coats, there are at least 3 children with no shoes on. I would love to be able to find out who some of the other children are. Please click photos to view larger version.
