(Submitted by chapter member, Nancy Smith) Richard Gray McKee was born Aug 2, 1896 in Carrrick, Allegheny, PA. His father, William Thomson McKee was born in Pulaski, Lawrence Co., PA., 26 June 1869. He died in Cambridge Twp., Guernsey Co., Ohio.

Richard Gray McKee’s mother was Jessie Estella Gray, born Aug. 25, 1871 in Port Homer, Jefferson Co., Ohio. Her father was Robert McSherry Gray who was born Jan. 18, 1847 in Jefferson County and also died here. Robert’s father, Robert, came from Liberty Twp., Adams Co., PA. Robert’s mother, Margaret Hamilton, was born Jun. 3, 1812 in Washington, PA. Reverend A. C. Tidball married Robert & Margaret.

 Jessie Estella Gray’s mother was Nancy Jane Crawford, born Aug. 31, 1851 in Jefferson County and died Jun. 12, 1921 in Saline Twp., Jefferson County. Nancy’s parents were Elijah and Nancy Runyon Crawford. Both born in Ohio and Nancy’s mother, Nancy died in Jefferson County.
