Island Creek Church/Cemetery

Photo taken 2007
L to R:
Linda Hilty, Gail Komar (back), Tammy Hosenfeld, nearest the Island Creek Church

This photo was taken by Flora L. VerStraten October 2007. This is an example of how many men it takes to dig up and reset one large tombstone. The unidentified men in this photo were assigned community service, which they all fulfilled completely. The men didn't seem to mind the hard work they put in giving back to the community. Many times their fines are waived for providing hours of hard work in our various township cemeteries.

Photo's taken by Flora L. VerStraten October, 2007 during the Island Creek Cemetery cleanup. This is a small corner of the cemetery and this photo is intended to show the terrible condition and the large amount of work ahead of our chapter to restore this cemetery.
