John McClain, and Sarah McClain, his wife and Adam Culp, to James Mitchell, John G. Wiles, David Notestine, John S Graham and Aaron Maple for The First Lutheran Church of Ross Township. General Warranty Deed. Dated May 13, 1837. Acknowledged same day before John Stoakes, J.P. 2 witnesses. Signatures: John McClain, Sally McClain, Adam Culp. Separate examination of wife. Recorded Nov. 12, 1840. Deed Book V, page 272. Consideration, $1.00 Grants, bargains, sells, conveys and confirms unto the said James Mitchell, John G. Wiles, David Notestine, John S. Graham and Aaron Maple, and their associates and successors, known as abody corporate by the name and style of The First Lutheran Church of Ross Township, all the following described lot of parcel of land, lying and being in Ross & Knox Townships, County and State aforesaid, Beginning on rod South of the South-west corner of Section No. 4, Township 11 in Range 3, and running S. 45.5 W. 18 rods to a post.; thence S. 33 N. 17.2 rods to a post; thence N. 54 N. 12 rods to a post in a meadow; thence N. 37 W. 10 rods into range line; thence with said line 14.4 rods to the place of beginning, containing three fourths of an acre, be the same more or less. To have and to hold the above described lot or parcel of land and promises to the above named grantees, and their associates and successors, forever. |
