East Springfield Cemetery

Salem Twp
Jefferson County, Ohio

East Springfield United Presbyterian/Evangelical United Brethren (U.B.)/Springfield M.E./Old East Springfield/New East Springfield

(Report given in the spring of 2004) John Flenniken, with the help of Howard Shephard, has completed reading the stones in East Springfield Cemetery. This too was John’s first experience reading tombstones. He became involved through his association with the Ruritans who were already helping to clean and maintain the cemetery. John did an excellent job with the East Springfield Cemetery and is anxious to begin reading the Annapolis (old) Cemetery.  We are “thankful” for sunshine and spring temperatures so we can get busy!
