Michael came from Dublin, Ireland about 1790. Legend is his brother had passage on a boat but took sick a week before sailing and Michael took the passage. The other brother never came to America. The name was changed to Burns. Michael was born Sept 14, 1784 and died Dec. 3, 1848. He married Mary Wilgus on Jan. 7, 1812 and they had ten children. Mary born Apr. 11, 1792, died Sept. 28, 1858. Children are listed in the bible records.
